RESEARCH ON ESSENTIAL OILS
Plants generate a considerable number of antioxidants, preservatives, and synthetic colours. The properties of plants are many and varied: tonics, astringents, anti-inflammatory, antiseptics, anti-scarring, cleansers, moisturisers, relaxants, emulsifiers, decongestant, refreshing, etc. Research on essential oils is the base of this industry, and many laboratories invest their technology to enhance the properties of essential oils, and their application in our life.
PLANT AND OIL PRODUCTION
Essential oils must meet the requirements to guarantee quality, safety, and efficacy. Most of the standardized EOs that are commercialized have a high degree of purity. There is a great variety of EOs on the market of very different qualities. The place of cultivation of the plant, the climate, and the fertilizers used influence in determining the quality and characteristics of an EOs. Plant and oils production are one the most important phases in the industry of Essential Oils.
BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES AND APPLICATIONS
Medicinal and aromatic plants play an important role in the pharmaceutical sector, both in phytotherapy aspect, as in the strictly medicinal significance.
